Joan M. Holowaty , 75, of 116 East Oak Street, Frackville formerly of Locust Gap, died Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St., Pottsville.
Born in Philadelphia, June 24, 1939, She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Rhoades) Manley.
She was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, St. Michael's Sacred Heart and Catholic Daughters. Joan was an avid Notre Dame Fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Joseph Holowaty
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Joseph, a son Patrick Holowaty of Frackville; 2 daughters Michelle Bushspics and her husband Bob of Olyphant; Deborah Holowaty of Frackville; brother Tim Manley of Ashland; brother-in-law Frank Holowaty of Frackville; sister-in-law Mary Conapinski of Frackville; 4 grandchildren, Connor, Tyler, Bobby, and Shane and 1 great grandchild Lea.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday from St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 45 S. Second St. Frackville . The Rev. Roman Pitula will be officiating. . Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday with Parastas at 7:30 PM and 9:00AM till 9:30 AM Friday at the Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc. 9 North Lehigh Ave. Frackville, PA 17931.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Memorial Fund. Burial will be in St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Butler Twp.
