Donald A. Yanek, 79, of 142 North 3rd Street, St. Clair, died Friday at home.
Born in St. Clair, January 25, 1934, he was a son of the late Andrew and Jeanette (Griffiths) Yanek.
He was a 1951 graduate of St. Clair High School.
Donald served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was last employed by Alpha Mills, Sch. Haven.
He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, PA, and Mtn. Valley Senior Golf League.
He was preceded in death by sister Jane Thomas.
Surviving are his wife of Veronica (Zawaski) Yanek; son Donald Yanek and his wife Debora of Morgantown; 3 daughters Patricia Horvath and her husband Thomas of North Manheim Twp.; Barbara Richwine and her husband Larry, Dillsburg; Stephanie Land and her husband AJ, Gig Harbor, WA; 7 grandchildren Thomas Horvath; Nicholas, Matthew and Eric Land; Tricia Yanek; Hannah and Noah Richwine; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., St. Clair, PA 17970. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Clare of Assisi R.C. Church, 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday and 10:30 AM-11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
