Edward V. Boris

Edward  V. Boris , 84, of 4 Thwing St., St. Clair, died Saturday Sept. 23, 2017 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in St. Clair, October 16, 1932, He was a son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Beritsky) Boris.

He retired as a Truck Driver from Pepsico, Schuylkill Haven.

Ed was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister.  He loved serving communion at local hospitals and nursing homes, along with helping the church with maintenance and anything that needed to be done.  He was also a member of the St. Clair Old Timers Baseball Association.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Joseph Boris and John Boris.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years Kathleen (Juba) Boris;  2 sons Edward Boris Jr. and his  wife Anita of Havre de Grace, MD; James Boris of Birdsboro; 3 daughters Michele Danoski and her husband Michael of Palo Alto; Lisa Boris of Virginia Beach, VA; Teresa Zakocs and her husband William of Bethlehem, 1 brother Paul Boris of St. Clair; sister Mary Koch of Pottsville; 5 grandchildren Rachael, Breiann, Timothy, Kailee and Armando; 3 Great Grandchildren Clara, Layla and Raelyn; Nieces and Nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair.  Msgr. William F. Glosser  will be officiating.  Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00-10:00 Am Thursday at Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St. St. Clair, PA 17970. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul RC Cemetery, Port Carbon .
