Fay R. James , 84, of Raleigh,NC, formerly of Gilberton and Frackville, died January 11, 2014 in NC.
Born in Gilberton, July 9, 1929, She was a daughter of the late Andrew and Emma (Gouldner) Sherry.
She was retired from Foothill Acres Rehab & Nursing Center, Hillsborough , NJ.
She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur G. James, Sr.; 7 brothers Edward Sherry, John Sherry, Vernon Sherry, Allen Sherry, William (Bill) Sherry, Paul Sherry, Kenneth (Kenny) Sherry and 2 sisters Mabel Reith-Mayer, Ethel Westner.
Surviving are 3 sisters Mae Thomas of Clifton Twp., Joan McKenzie of Mahanoy City and Janice Gregonis of North Wales; 2 sons Lester A. James of Monmouth Jct., NJ, Arthur G. James Jr. of Vienna, NJ; a daughter Cheryl Weer of Orange Park, FL. 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday June 14 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville, with Rev. Oliver Brown Officiating. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzeheimer's Association, 3544 N. My condolences to the family of this wonderful lady I heard so much about through her wonderful granddaughter, Janice! It's very hard to lose a loved one!
