Gertrude S. Heim

Gertrude S. Heim, 95, formerly of Frackville,  died Sunday September 20, 2015 at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.

Born in Frackville on April 10, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Isaac and Anna Doretta (Murphy) Steinbach.

Gertrude was employed as a machine operator by the former Charles Rabin Co. for 38 years and was a member of ILGWU . 

Gertrude was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Frackville where she served as the Head of Junior Christian Endeavor, was a member of the Church Choir, and served as a Sunday School Teacher.  She was also an active Volunteer at the Frackville Library.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur (Jack) Heim in 2005, and a brother Samuel Arthur Steinbach.

Surviving are son Jack Heim and his wife, Robin, of Mohnton; a granddaughter Rena Heim of Mohnton; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 26th from Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 56 North Balliet Street, Frackville with Rev. Gene Stephenson officiating.   Friends may call from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity E.C.C. Memorial fund at the above address.   Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville
