John Kushwarra Jr., 88, of 212 South Spencer Street, Frackville, died Friday at his Brother Fred's Home in Frackville.
Born in Morea, August 27, 1927, He was a son of the late John and Kathryn (Stetz) Kushwarra.
He graduated from West Mahanoy Township High School severed in the United States Army during WWII and retired as the Manager at the former Andrews Tire Co., Pottsville, PA.
John was a great sports enthusiast supporting his favorite teams the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Tigers.
He was a lifelong member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Frackville and The Frackville American Legion Post 398.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death are a brother Edward Kushwarra and a sister Josephine Kushwarra.
Surviving are brothers Michael Kushwarra and his wife Joan of Kendall Park, NJ; Fred Kushwarra and his wife Mary Anne of Frackville, Nieces and Nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Spring & Line Street Frackville. The Rev. Robert Finlan will be officiating. . Friends may call from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Butler Twp.
