Julia Marie Covach , 84, of 11 West Franklin St., St. Clair, died SundayJune 21, 2015 at Rest Haven, Schuylkill Haven.
Born in St. Clair, July 22, 1930, She was a daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Schmeltzer) Collihan.
She was a graduate of St. Clair High School and attended Ford Business School.
Julia worked as a Secretary for several area attorneys before retiring from Reading Anthracite.
She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Covach Jr. on September 10, 1962, 2 sisters Ann Purcell and Mary Duffy.
Surviving are 3 sons Thomas Covach and his wife Mary Ellen of Pottsville; Michael Covach of St. Clair; Mark Covach of St. Clair; Mary Ann Shappell and her husband William of St. Clair; 5 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday June 30 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair. Friends may call from 8:30AM – 9:30 AM at the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 N. Second St., St. Clair, PA 17970. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville.
