Kenneth M. “Kenny” Watkins , 85 of Pottsville and formerly of Frackville, passed away on Monday July 1st at Golden Living Center York Terrace, Pottsville PA Born in Shamokin, February 19, 1928, He was a son of the late Emil and Verda Watkins He was a 1945 graduate of Frackville High School. Kenneth served in the US Army during the Korean War He was a very accomplished and awarded salesman working for both the American Lubricants and Philadelphia Life Insurance Co. He was also the owner/operator of Ken’s Creamy Cone, Frackville from the mid 50’s until the early 70’s. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville, PA; St. David’s Society; Past President of Frackville Lions Club; Frackville Masonic Lodge #737 and Tall Cedars. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Cyril Watkins, Charles Watkins Surviving are 4 sons Kent Watkins and his wife Janine; Kevin Watkins and his wife Cindy; Kyle Watkins and Kirk Watkins; 7 Grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Brian, Rhys, Celeste, Kyler and Kian. Nieces and Nephews. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Nice Hart Funeral Home Inc. 9 N. Lehigh Ave. Frackville, PA 17931. Pastor James R. Fidler will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Frackville Masonic Lodge #737 C/o Dale Schimpf 63 N. Nice St. Frackville, PA 17931..
