Margaret A. Carl , 75, of 2250 W. Market St., Pottsville, died Monday January 9, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Palo Alto, June 3, 1941, She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Esther (Meyers) Wassel.
She was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School.
Margaret was a member of the Former Mary Queen of Peace RCC Pottsville, and Volunteered at Pottsville Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Luke Zelinsky in 1987; son Michael Zelinsky in 2012.
Surviving are her husband Leonard Carl; 3 daughters Theresa Smerlick of Port Carbon; Rosann Markish and her husband Rich of Frackville; Susan Haney and her husband James of St. Clair; son Luke Zelinsky of Pottsville; 6 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Nieces and Nephews
As per Margaret's wishes, there will be not service or calling hours . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 101 W. Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery #2, Pottsville.
