Shirley Klem , 82, of 533 Howard Street, Frackville, died Wednesday at Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Butler Twp., November 16, 1931, She was a daughter of the late Douglas and Erdie (Miller) Batdorf.
She worked as a machine operator at several local factories, retiring from the former City Shirt Factory, Frackville.
Shirley was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Frackville, where she was a former member of their Consistory and Choir. She was active as a Den Leader in the Frackville Cub Scouts.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Klementovich, son Dale Klementovich and a brother Douglas Batdorf.
Surviving are a Daughter Sharon Whyne and her husband John of Ashland; a son Gary Klem of Coplay; 4 Grandchildren Craig Whyne, Tracey Caudle, Adam Klem and Abbey Klem-Clevenger; Great Grandchildren Seth Hein, Kylie and Joshua Caudle. Nieces and Nephews
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday from Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc., 9 N. Lehigh Ave Frackville, PA 17931with the Rev. Kerry Smart officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday and 9:30AM-10:AM Monday at the Funeral Home, Inc.. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA , PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.
