Veronica L. Yanek

Veronica  L. Yanek , 79, of 142 North 3rd Street, St. Clair, died Saturday April 25, 2015 at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Orwigsburg, July 24, 1935, She was a daughter of the late Frank and Stella Karpinski Zawaski.

She graduated from Pottsville Area High School and retired from the former Community Bank in St. Clair working as a loan officer and a teller.

Veronica was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Yanek in 2013; and her brothers Frankie and Joseph Zawaski.

Surviving are a son Donald Yanek and his wife Debora of Morgantown; 3 daughters Patricia Horvath and husband Thomas of North Manheim Twp.;  Barbara Richwine and her husband Larry of Dillsburg; Stephanie Land and husband AJ of Gig Harbor, Washington; 7 grandchildren, Thomas Horvath; Nicholas, Matthew, and Eric Land; Hannah and Noah Richwine and Tricia Yanek Hanna .

Funeral Services will be Friday 10;00 AM from the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 North 2nd Street, St. Clair, PA 17970.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM  from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair. The Rev.  Msgr. William F. Glosser  will be officiating. . Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday  and 9:00- 10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund at the above address. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
