Walter S. Golca , 87, of 37 Pike St., St. Clair, died Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St., Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, January 18, 1929, He was a son of the late John and Anna (Wrabel) Golca
He served in the US Army during the Korean War
Walter worked as a Butcher for several area grocery store before retiring as a Custodian from Penn State Schuylkill Campus.
He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister Frances Sabadish; 2 brothers Joseph Golca, John Golca
Surviving are his wife of 67 years Agnes (Motto) Golca; a son Walter J. Golca of Boca Raton, FL; brother Edward Golca and his wife Martha of Pottsville; sister Agnes Mucha of NJ. Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair with Msgr. William F. Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial with military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Clair.
