
David Allen Kulp (commonly known as “Kulpy”) 59, of Stroudsburg passed away Friday January 31, 2025 at Ridgeview Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah,Pa. Born on April 18, 1965, he was the son the late Jesse E. and Gladys L. Kulp.
Dave was a 1983 graduate of Stroudsburg High School and began working full time in the family business- Kulp Foundry, immediately after high school. Dave had worked summers at the foundry previously during his high school years, while also working at Besecker’s Fifth Street Diner. Following the foundry years Dave worked at APS Recycling Center in Stroudsburg, Pa.
Dave was a jovial man deep in his heart. He enjoyed spending time with old friends, laughing, joking and reminiscing about days gone by. He enjoyed watching football, playing video games and eating pizza. He had a precise memory for events and trivia dating back to his early school years. He wouldn’t just remember a high school football game- he would tell you what sneakers you were wearing. In his earlier years he played baseball, football and enjoyed swimming, golfing, bowling and camping with friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his sister Claudia (Kulp) Rodenhauser. Surviving is a niece Sarah Rodenhauser, and two cousins Ellen & Colleen.
Cremation was private. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
