William (Bill) Joseph Donaldson , 88, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family he loved, Friday April 26, 2024, at UPMC Community Osteopathic, Harrisburg.
Born in Pottsville, August 15, 1935, He was a son of the late John and Violet (Slane) Donaldson.
He was 1953 graduate of St. Clair High School.
William served as a Radar Tech in the US Air Force in Vietnam War, and retired after 20 years of service attaining the rank of Technical Sargent.
He retired as a Millwright from Hetran Inc. Orwigsburg.
William was a lifetime member of the St. Clair Fish & Game; American Legion Post #719, where he served as Commander & Vice Commander; St. Clair Honor Guard and AMVETS.
He was preceded in death by a brother John Donaldson.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years Marion (Steele) Donaldson; son Anthony and his wife Pamela (Supko) Donaldson of Pottsville; daughter Karen Killian and her husband Michael of Pine Grove; son Patrick and his wife Barbara (Hrbek) Donaldson of St. Clair, son Shawn and his wife Jennifer (Neifert) Donaldson of Mill Creek; 8 Grandchildren Meagan Vogt, Shannon Donaldson, William Killian, Bradley Killian, Stephen Donaldson, Jackie Donaldson, Brian Staller, Tylor Donaldson and Shawn Donaldson; 2 sisters Elaine Lutzkanin of St. Clair; Margaret Brandt of Lynchberg, VA; Numerous great-grandchildren; Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM Sunday May 5, 2024from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 N. Second St. Saint Clair, PA 17970 . Friends may call from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at 9:30 AM Monday May 6, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
